Fall outfits 2013: High school chic

The second outfit was more casual, high school-like. This is what Susan is used to wearing on daily basis.

The base is black again – as it allows you to combine multiple colors later. Susan is wearing black tights with black shorts made out of another pair of high and thicker tights (DIY coming later). Not only does it keep you warm, it gives you some extra hold that one layer of tights never would and as a bonus, the only person that sees your underwear is the one present when you take your clothes off.

Tip: If you want to wear tights instead of regular pants, put two pairs on top of each other. It will be warmer, it will give you better hold and it won`t let your underwear show.

On top she put a bit oversized black sweater that provides you with enough warmth on days when you don`t feel like wearing a jacket.  To brighten the outfit up, she added a beanie and as you might have noticed, it is an absolute hit of this season, often worn by for example Cara Delevingne (doesn`t Susan even look like her?). If it looks good on you, now is the time to wear it!!

To accentuate the color of the beanie, she picked a purse with the same shade of red and she finished the look with light brown ankle shoes, a great fall piece. A must here are thick woolen sock that absolutely need to show when you`re wearing lower shoes. It adds a different pattern and dimension to the chic overall look.

Tip: No-one expects you to have twenty pairs of thick woolen socks, I personally only own two pairs. My solution to this is wearing another pair of socks under the woolen ones. I keep these near the shoes and wear them only outside, that way they don`t get grose and you can reuse them once or twice.

Hope you find this useful, be sure to let me know in the comments below!

Much love and style!
